Project Overview
Aurora Solar LLC is planning a solar power generation facility and generation tie electric transmission line (“Project”) near Joseph City in Navajo County, Arizona.
The Project is a planned 200-megawatt solar power generation facility and 2.5 mile 230-kilovolt generation tie line with an optional battery energy storage system and additional associated facilities. The generation tie line will be constructed above ground and will be supported by steel monopole structures up to 100 feet in height.
The Project will be sited approximately 1 mile south of Joseph City on approximately 1,965 acres of privately owned land, and would interconnect with the power grid at Arizona Public Service’s (APS) Cholla Substation. Once operational, the Project will provide additional solar-powered electricity and deliver clean, renewable energy to Arizona customers.
